This gorgeous BC Pinot Noir is a heady bouquet of wild violets and tart cherry aromas. Medium-bodied, silky smooth and vibrant. Racy acidity is perfect for roast chicken and seafood. Love the low alcohol at just 12.6%! Highly recommended.

Reviews and Ratings

Julian Park rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A beautiful bold red colour. Aromas of cherry, raspberry and pepper notes. Medium-high acidity, low tannins and medium body. On the palate, cherry, strawberry, pepper, and citrus with a silky smooth mouthfeel. Short finish.

The perfect biodynamic Pinot Noir.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beauty! Such great balance and truly a pleasure to enjoy. Aromas of tart red cherry, violet, fresh tilled earth, warm spice and a hint of leather. Medium bodied on the palate, with light tannins and vibrant acidity, along with tart and ripe berry hints, and a hint of black pepper and leather notes. Enjoy with grilled salmon or roasted duck dishes.
Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Sperling 2017 Pinot Noir is produced from organically-grown wine grapes from a certified biodynamic estate vineyard and is about as natural a wine as you can get with no influence from aromatic yeasts or other additives.

A classic lighter-style Pinot Noir, delicate with fresh raspberry, raspberry leaf, white pepper, mineral aromas on the nose. Smooth, graceful and harmonious on the palate with bright raspberry, earthy mushrooms, savoury herbs, sous bois, white pepper and well-integrated oak spice flavours on the palate with a medium length finish, nicely balanced with medium-plus acidity. I love the silky mouth feel that is consistent on this PN. Easy to enjoy on its own, it’s also a perfect pairing with veal medallions in a Chanterelle mushroom sauce.

Produced from three PN Dijon clones (114, 777, 828) on three different rootstocks (10114, 3309 and Paulson), selected grape bunches are hand-harvested, small-lot fermented and matured in large oak barrels with a small percentage of new wood.
