Dark, complex, moody and deep: this wine is for collectors (and those with trust funds). It's a spectacular vintage from one of Italy's most cult producers. This baby needs a lot more cellar time, even if you are celebrating your Google stock cash in. Restraint people.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 99/100 with the following review:

A near perfect wine. This has incredible body and structure. Ready to drink now or in 2050 depending on how you like it. Lots of bold blackberry and plum skin with nice baking spice, cedar, camphor and liquorice notes. There’s cigar tobacco and herb mixed in as well. The length and the fine-grained tannins are what makes this wine so appealing. 99 Points.
Marco Giovanetti rated this wine as 98/100 with the following review:

Young and austere primal nose reminding of dry black fruits with indian spices. Also graphite with expresso beans and dark chocolate notes. In the mouth, rather lush but in a brilliant way. Great intensity of flavors combined with a fresh acidity, give this wine the tools to evolve into something more beautiful in the next two decades away
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier reviewed this wine as follows:

It's a blend of %1% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot!

Deep Purple color with notes of oak, graphite, chocolate, spice and black currant!

The wine is bitter, full-bodied and very long on the palate!

Pair it with a rack of lamb with mushroom sauce!

Serve it at 15-17 degrees.
I suggest to pour it in carafe at less 45 minutes!

Can be aged up to 15 years!
The 2011 vintage of this Super Tuscan red wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes. Let it rest in the cellar a few more years at least. - Community Wine Reviews
