Complex, full-bodied yet subtle. Gorgeous aromas of dried black cherry, cedar, smoke, fleshy blackberries. This full-bodied red wine is a blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, that was aged for 1 year in French barriques. Decant for 1 hour and you're ready to go!

Food pairings: pepper steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Lesley Quinn - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

If you are like me and hoping to get a bottle of Sassicaia in my stocking, here is a great alternative from the same historic winery that won't break the bank. It's a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. It has a fresh dark plum and black cherry scent followed up with a rich smoky gamey flavour. The tannins are like velour, not too overpowering, and it has a nice spicy finish. Perfect for a pot roast dinner on a cold winter's night in front of a fireplace.
