Produced by winemaker Bob Cabral, this is a full-bodied Californian red wine blend of 8 grapes, mostly Syrah, Tempranillo and Petite Sirah. The coald soak was 3 days before fermentation and no malolactic fermentation. Aromas of sweet dark berries and lots of toasty oak. As the back label reads for this marketing-driven wine branded with the HBO series "Game of Thrones": From the arid climate of Dorne to the lush vineyards of The Reach, the topography of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros is as diverse as the wine we produce. Against the backdrop of the ever evolving struggle for the Iron Throne and amidst the howling winds of winter, nobles raise their glasses and toast to luck in the wars to come. The suggested pairings? Often served at feasts, paired with hearty meats, roasts and blackbird pie, poured at Small Council sessions.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep, dark and densely concentrated stewed blackberry and strawberry, fresh plums, tobacco leaf, baking spices. Medium plus bodied, well balanced, medium tannins, and integrated. Juicy, dry, dusty mouthfeel. Long persistence of stewed fruit and a hint of
cedar plank. Pairs well with a rare steak. Tasted the 2015 vintage in July 2017. 90 points. BespokeTastings
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A fine full-bodied red blend well-suited for the high-borns of Seven Kingdoms and well-suited for me. Aromas show violets, dark plum, anise, leather, and spice. The palate is satiny smooth with flavours of cassis, stewed plum, winter spices, and a long smoked cedar finish. Enjoy this well-structured juicy fruit forward red with braised beef short ribs, mesquite BBQ or perhaps a wild boar! Tasted July 2017 by @sommsosa / bespoketastings.ca
Simon Chen rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

sweet and jammy with limited structure and tannin. It's a BBQ wine
