A gorgeous, generously flavoured and textured Chilean red wine made from the classic Pinot Noir grape. Errazuriz produces wines of stunning complexity and value. This is no exception. Aromas of black cherry and spice. Pair with veal or lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A beautiful cool climate Pinot Noir. Declared 13.5% ABV. Well balanced, juicy and integrating well. Mouthwatering, tart, great acidity medium minus tannins. Cherry, raspberry, savoury, minerality and a hint of oak. Pairs well with lamb, salmon, roasted turkey and drinks well on its own. Tasted April 2017. 90 points
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

There is delicate examples of red fruit on the nose. Strawberry, raspberry and mushroom earthiness with forest floor touches. Lovely echoing notes on the palate with earthy red strawberries and mushroom. Bright and fresh with those gorgeous "wet leaf" components. An excellent example of Pinot Noir from Chile. Appropriate to enjoy with rainbow trout amandine. 90 points - tasted March 2018
The vines are planted in coastal vineyards of schist soils that bring out the aromatics in this wine, according to the label. This is a terrific expression of cool-climate terroir. The grapes are grown in the winery's estate Mansanar Vineyard in the region of Aconcagua Costa, just 12 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean which imparts a maritime cooling influence on the vines. The grapes were picked early in the morning, then cold soaked for 3 to 6 days at 8 degrees Celsius or 46 degrees Fahrenheit then fermented in open-top fermenters. The wine was ten aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
