Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This youthful red blend delivered an energetic and full-bodied experience. With earthy accented dark berry and cherry aromas, its textured palate showcased grippy tannins and concentrated, smoke and cedar infused dark fruit flavours and an extended finish. Attractive on the eyes, this creation from Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula appellation displayed some stunning deep ruby and violet tones. Enjoy.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A bright Cabernet-Merlot blend, in a uniquely shaped stout bottle from Creekside Winerys’ Red Tractor vineyards. Showing, earthy cherry, red bell pepper and stony leather. Added some aeration as it was needed. Flavours revealed red berries, peppery heat, green herbs and lip smacking sour cherries on the finish. Youthful, but overall still developing with medium tannins to match. A perfect pair with smoked ribs, as the lively acidity helped to cut into the fat and bring out the flavours in both. Enjoy! Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas of blackberry, currant, cranberry, with smoky, brambly hints. Medium+ bodied and smooth, with ripe berry hints and lots of smoke. Enjoy with burgers or sausages. Great price!
Creekside Red Tractor 2017 is a well-priced 50% Cabernet and Merlot red wine blend under $18 from the Niagara Peninsula wine region. The blended wine matured one year in oak barrel prior to its release. Look for plushy plum, mocha, dried herb and savoury spice flavours on this easy-going red. Enjoy with a braised beef brisket. - Community Wine Reviews
