Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

80% Syrah and 20%Grenache and 12 months in French oak brings a deep ruby/purple colour in the glass. Juicy black raspberry, cassis, blackcurrant leaf, black licorice, baking spices. This wine is full-bodied and mouth filling with medium acidity. Smooth tannins. Really a delight to drink. Enjoy over the next 5 years. Perfect for finer cuts of red meats grilled on the BBQ.
Tasted: August 2016
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This was a lovely inky, deep purple in the glass. Initially had a hint of acetone on the nose that dissipated. Smokey nose. Medium tannins. Cassis on the palate. Long fruity finish. This definitley unfolded and increased in complexity in the glass so sip slowly and enjoy the ride! Tasted December 2016.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Concentrated and delicious, this Corbieres features loads of black and red briars, black cherry, spice, dried herb and anise seed. Beautifully open-textured and inviting. 90 Points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
This full-bodied red wine from the Corbieres region in the Midi is made from 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache and has spent 12 months in French oak. On the first taste, chocolate covered blackberries come to mind. - Community Wine Reviews
