Sweet and sour cherry flavours, full-bodied and fairly supple. Some tannic grip at the back on the finish. Pair with a rare steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Lynn Van Der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Heady aromas of fig, baked strawberry-rubard pie, and a hint of mint, carry through to a jammy flavour, and some lingering acidity, making this a very food friendly pick - great with assorted cheeses, antipasto, or pizza.
Tasted March 2017.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Quite fruity - a bit of a cherry-toasted-oak concoction. Soft mouthfeel with a slightly bitter but not unappealing back taste and a savoury cherry finish. Tomato-based dishes or pizza please!
Lori Kilmartin - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

There is a bit more fresh fruit on this than your typical Ripasso. Plenty of cherry with bright acidity and evident tannins. A good match with Osso bucco as there is enough body and flavours to match!
