Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas include dark berries, (cherry, blackberry), a bit of a dried berry or raisin note. Bright acidity, some firm tannin, a some spice and leather mingles with the berry on the palate. Give it some time to open up and enjoy with charcuterie.
Trevor Sabourin - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, dark cherry, espresso, tobacco, and cedar on the nose. Repeats on the palate with a savoury olive note. This Chianti is very approachable thanks to its moderate acidity, full body, and soft tannins. Tasted blind, Feb. 2016. Great value.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby, candied berry, some floral notes along with earthy/herb notes. A little griipy with fresh acidity and medium body showing plummy, cherry fruit on a medium finish. Tasted blind February 2016.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This wine is ruby red. Low intensity aromatics, herbal balsamic notes, tomato leaf and cheery. Not concentrated, medium minus body with avery ruby rim. Short finish with persistence of tomato leaf and cheery. This wine does not show typicity in body or concentration of aromatics. Great pairing for higher bodied Italian dishes. Blind tasted Feb 2016. @jonsteeves 86/100
Jane LeFresne rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

This wine doesn't have the classic tannins or acidity found in most Chiantis. The tannins were very subtle and the acidity was on the medium low side. Aromas of green and black pepper and cherry. The flavours are much the same as the nose. A short earthy finish.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Mild aromas and flavours of bright red fruit and oak. Palate fades rather quickly.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

I found this Chianti a bit closed but given it's youth it may just need some time to develop. Fresh acidity and grippy tannins I would buy a bottle and cellar for a few more years.
