Vivant means alive, and this Niagara rosé certainly has lots of life in the glass, with vibrant, zesty aromas of field strawberries. This wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes that are hand-harvested during cool mornings to preserve fruit freshness, then are whole cluster pressed to have minimal grape skin contact with the juice in order to achieve this delicate salmon, ballet-sipper hue. Racy acidity for fresh seafood and shellfish. Medium-bodied and works well as a refreshing aperitif.

Rosé food pairings: charcuterie, soft herbal cheeses with dried fruit, strawberry and spinach salad with poppy seed dressing, fresh oysters or citrus poached shrimp.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A delightfully delicate and decadent summer fresh Rosé from Malivoire. Made from Pinot Noir, aromas capture peaches, strawberries, clementine citrus, watermelon, honeysuckles and bright pink peonies. Flavours reveal mandarin slices, ginger, golden apples and refreshing raspberries with intricate mineral touches at the back. Medium acidity with a light clean finish and body. Brilliant with soft cheeses and pork terrine.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine is pale and delicate looking in the glass, but has a lot going on. Aromas of strawberry, orange rind, honey. and some floral notes. Dry, with lots of ripe strawberry, bright acidity, and some citrus zest on the finish. Perfect to enjoy with any seafood, even oysters.
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Pale pink in colour with aromas of honey and hints of strawberry. Very dry on the palette with hints of strawberry and powerful acidity of lime and grapefruit rind. I find this is a white wine disguised of a rosé. Great break from your typical fruit forward rosé. You'll want to pair with something that will stand up to the acidity such as fish or seafood dishes.

Malivoire Vivant 2017 is a fresh, medium-bodied Pinot Noir rosé produced from hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes from the Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed to minimize skin contact for this salmon-coloured rosé and to maintain fresh fruit flavours with no bitter edge. - Community Wine Reviews
