Reviews and Ratings

Courtney Flood rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Earthy and smokey, cranberry, wild raspberry, flint, charcoal.Vibrant acidity with wild raspberry, blackberry, fresh cut green parsley. Perfect food wine and a great price. Pair with a mushroom risotto, simple cheese pizza on the BBQ topped with arugala and a drizzle of grassy olive oil.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A deliciously ripe and sumptuous Pinot Noir - brimming with fruit.
Ripe, with lots of structure and approachability at the same time.
Aromas of rose, rosehip, violet, strawberry, cherry, licorice, and clove.
Toastiness, ripe cheery, hickory, and cinnamon stick.
Give it another five years or decant it for an hour tonight with pork tenderloin.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very juicy and appealing with lovely, balanced acidity. Bing cherry, red plum skin, rose petal and iodine notes are the hallmarks of this lovely Pinot. 90 Points.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pale ruby colour with some sparkling garnet reflections. Aromas of tart cherries, woody forest, and rusty slate. Flavours reveal sour cherries, cranberry skins and some cayenne pepper heat at the end. High acidity with a medium body, medium minus tannins and a medium plus spicy finish with that tickle of a ground pepper heat note carrying onwards. I Some noticeable grip. A good pairing for flatbreads, and stirfries. 88 points - Tasted April 2018
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Vibrant ruby colour on this wine. Aromas include tart cherry, with an earthy note. Bright, vibrant, with nice acidity. Subtle grip on the tannin help to extend the finish. Overall a pretty versatile wine. enjoy with pork, salmon, or rustic mushroom dishes.
Del Rio Del Rio Vineyards 2014 is a great value, medium-bodied Pinot Noir under $20 from the Rogue Valley, Oregon. This is a lighter style Pinot Noir with silky tannins and perfect fare for salmon on the barbeque. Drink now. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
