One of the best French roses to hit the liquor store every year, consistently great. Gorgeous and richly complex with fleshy ripe field strawberries. Full-bodied for rose yet perfectly balanced. Pair with planked salmon. So lovely.
Food pairings: lox and capers, grilled salmon steak, shellfish, fresh fruit, veggies, pasta primavera.

|Lise Charest Gagne rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:|
A gorgeous salmon red rose blended with 7 grapes and aged 6 months in stainless steel. The grapes are from Tavel on the right bank of the Rhone, where many grape decorated artifacts have been found. Aromas and flavors of field strawberries and flowers. This is not a sweet or wimpy wine don’t let the color fool you. This robust rose would be spectacular with spicy dishes, rich cheeses or pasta dishes. Tasted May 2017.

A lovely example of Tavel richness! It's a blend of mostly Grenache, with Clairette, Syrah, Cincault, Mourvedre, Bourboulanc, and Picpoul. These rosés always have a really intense, deep pink colour from the production method (saignée, or bleeding). It's very different from the more delicate extraction performed in Provence style rosés. Tavels are more luxurious and juicy, and always pretty dry.
It is such a deep pink it has lots of red reflections to it.
High alcohol for a rosé amd you can feel it in the weight of this wine. The aromas have some dusty rose and dried herbs (garrigue and anise). Wild sorrel, cherry, raspberry jam, and young strawberries. Beautiful aromatics.
The flavours are long and persistent. Nice acidity, with more of the ripe red fruit coming through. Lipsmacking finish. Extra dry
Delicious wine to bring on a barbecue or picnic. This would go great with prosciuttto on a grilled cheese, with deviled eggs, or poached salmon.

Hailing from Southern Rhone near Avignon, just across the river from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this luscious rosé is made from several grape varietals, the main three being Grenache, Clairette and Syrah. Dark pink in colour with ripe, strawberry, rhubarb and raspberry on the nose an palate. The body is full enough to pair with smoked salmon or a hearty seafood salad. Tasted September, 2017.

Dark pink, strawberry shortcake aromatic dominant. On the palate, cherry, strawberry and blood orange. Paired well with butter chicken and basmati rice. Tasted 2016 vintage in July 2017. 89 points.
|Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:|
Lovely pronounced ripe strawberries aromas for miles. Flavours are vibrant and juicy with a prominant blood orange and faint strawberry bubblegum note. Also, the deep raspberry pink colour is noticeably different for a rosé. Enjoy with prosciutto wrapped figs. Tasted May 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca

Tasted July 5, 2017 colour deep pink, thick legs on the glass. Aromas complex, strawberry, red current, rose petal. Best remembered by a metaphor, a stroll through a strawberry patch. Tatste complex fruit, dry, with nice acidity and alcohol balance. I like this rose, and enjoy it in the summer paired with salmon or fresh berry fruit and cheese tray. This is a benchmark rose wine for me.
|Château D'aquéria's Tavel (2016) is floral, strawberries and roses on the nose and palate that ends in a light, but lingering fresh green herb finish. Lovely texture and mid-palate weight on this wine. The wine blend for this Rhone rosé is Grenache, Clairette, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Bourboulenc and Picpoul grapes. - Community Wine Reviews|
