Ca' Romé Romano Marengo Cerretta Barolo 2012, Piedmont D.O.C.G., Italy: Ca' Romé Romano Marengo Cerretta 2012 is a full-bodied, robust and grippy Barolo from the Piedmont wine region. Wow, there are tannins. Can certainly cellar for a few more years. Nice nose of cocoa, dried fruit, burnt orange peel and savoury spice. Excellent concentration of rich, dark fruit with notes of tobacco, liquorice, roses, violets and vanilla.
