Love this Old World Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire. This is a medium-bodied, bone-dry SB with bright citrus, gooseberry, chalky, mineral flavours that Touraine is known to give to its white wines with no lack of expression on this vibrant white. Delicious. Chill and enjoy on its own or pair with pan-fried trout.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: fresh-crab shellfish, crab cakes, cheese, poultry.

Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine shows its terroir! Pale, lemon-green Sauvignon Blanc with citrus and gooseberry aromas. The acidity is balanced by the taste of soft chalk which is so indicative of Touraine wine. Serve with puff pastry appetizers and fresh water fish.
Thierry Delaunay 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a modern take on Old-World-Style SB and great value under $17. This Sauvignon Blanc is a zesty expression of the Loire Valley soil and climate; a straw-colour, mouth-watering white wine with ripe gooseberry, tropical notes and zesty liquid lemon and mineral finish. So good. - Community Wine Reviews
