Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

A medium-bodied silky-textured red with pleasantly tart, vibrant cherry notes with some cranberry and red currant on the finish. Food matches: Camembert with whole-grain crackers.

Château Puisseguin "La Rigodrie" is a blend of 90% Merlot mainly present for its fruity taste, and 10% Cabernet franc to reinforce the structure & balance of the wine. This Bordeaux is a ruby colour with crimson highlights, and a powerful smell of berries. Aeration reveals a nice aromatic strength and fresh, crisp taste, with raspberry and plum giving way to a gentle spice finish. Complex and balanced.
