Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

A gorgeous pinot with extraordinary elegance and balance. Ripe cherry aromas but not too berry-fruity: some subtle earthiness. Satin smooth and medium-bodied.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Sourced from estate vines, as well as two local vineyards from Prince Edward County. A five day cold soak preceeded a 20-16 day warm fermentation. Half the wine was fermented using pigeage, delestage and pumpover; the other half was punched down by hand in small 800 kg lots. All of the 2008 Pinot Noir was barreled down into French oak, with about 20% new, for an 11 month elevage on fine lees. Painstaking tasting and blending resulted in 45 barrels being selected for inclusion into this cuvee.
