Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

Juicy and balanced with just the right touch of oak. Very berry-ripe with dancing, vibrant cherries. Plush and medium-bodied. Food matches: veal chops; duck breast with a red wine cherry reduction; pork tenderloin with dried cranberry wild rice; mushroom lasagna; turkey leg with dried cranberry couscous..

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
WINE MAKING
? Harvested from selected vineyard sites within the Niagara Lakeshore and Niagara Escarpment appellations.
? Fermentation was completed in small batches with 15 to 20 days of skin contact; the wines were barrel aged for 10 months in neutral (older) oak barrels.
? A full malolactic fermentation to soften the mouth-feel.

FLAVOUR PROFILE
? Cherry red colour with a bouquet of black cherry, blueberry, plum, white pepper and licorice.
? A light to medium-bodied wine with moderate acidity and drying youthful tannins.
? Flavours of red berries, cherries and a touch of spice on the palate followed by fresh cherries lingering on the finish.
