Natalie's Score: 91/100

Concentrated pleasure with dark depths of fleshy black plums and blackberry fruit. Chary black fruit and loads of toasty oak. What a package, especially for this price. Winemaker Elena Brooks apparently wears steel cap work boots every day but carries a pair of high heels in case of "emergencies" (you go girl!). Pair with t-rex burgers.

Shiraz food pairings: rare roast beef, grilled pork chops, blue cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier reviewed this wine as follows:

An extra-dry McLaren Vale Shiraz from South Australia, with fragrant ripe dark berries and vanilla, adding pepper, dried herbs and spice on palate.
Tasted April 2017
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted May 12th 2017. Colour dark red to purple. Aroma of black fruit, plums, blackberry, and black licorice notes of spice and ground coffee. On the palate blackberry, plum, pepper spice, sweet grippy tannins. The finish is medium to long with lingering blackberry and plum. This full bodied Shiraz is a good match to foods from the Barbie, Beef and charred veggies. Good for those who like the full flavour wines. Good value.
The McLaren Vale has many different varietals and mesoclimates. The vigernon (grape grower) for this robust Australian red wine is Anthony John Parknson. There were 1,634 cases of 12 bottles made of this wine. The 2014 vintage of the Sister's Run Epiphany Shiraz was a strong one for this winery and the region. - Community Wine Reviews
