This is a bargain for Burgundy, which usually tends to be 2 to 3 times more expensive. Pinot Noir is indeed the heartbreak grape financially to make and to buy. This one offers pleasantly sour cherries and cranberry; lots of mouth-watering acidity for food. This well-priced red Burgundy from a lauded producer offers fresh beetroot, strawberry, cherry and raspberry character.

Clear ruby color. Spicy nose with aromas of flowers and red fruits. The fruity profile follows on the palate, not thin at all and lifted by the spices flavors that goes into a medium long finish with a nice grip. The acidity is just present enough to make the wine drinkable from now and the alcohol level of 12,5% makes it even better !

Not a typical Burgundy pinot, but a great transition for new world pinot drinkers, with enough flesh to fill a glass to drink on its own. Bright tart red fruit on both the nose and the palate. Mild tannins and bright acidity make it easy to pair with multi ingredient dishes like coq au vin or stews.

Produced by Nicolas Potel, a medium-bodied Pinot Noir with tart cherry and mouth-watering acidity. Smooth and balanced. The average age of the vines is 42 to 62 years old, planted at 248 metres above sea level with yields of 47 hectalitres per hectare. The vineyard enjoys a south-east exposure.
