Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

100% Syrah on 25 year old vines, this Hermitage was complex and intriguing. Medium ruby colour with aroma intensities of blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry, earthy compost, finely ground black pepper and gaminess with a hint of farm animal and barnyard. Developing with flavours consisting of blackberry, cherry, anise, cedar, wet leaves and compost which is echoed in the palate. High acidity with medium body, m+ tannins and finish. Dry, delightful and evolves with each sip. Pair with pepper beef tenderloin or balsamic glazed venison. October 2017 - @Andyswinecellar
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Absolutely divine! Loving the layers upon layers of aromas and complexity in flavours. Rich black fruit, baking spice, faint stewed fruit, new leather, and sweetened tobacco notes dominate. Overall, an enticingly smooth Rhone Valley red with a long polished finish. Pairs well with stews, braises and grilled game meats. Tasted April 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
From the Rhône, and producer M. Chapoutier, Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage (2014) is deep ruby in the glass with vibrant cherry and fresh red berry flavours. It is also savoury with olive and black pepper. A nicely layered red with great structure and fine tannins. - Community Wine Reviews
