Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Hester Creek Estate Winery's 2021 Pinot Blanc is zesty with ripe pear and is lemonicious delicious with vibrant acidity and backbone. Clean, fresh and perfumed with ripe pear, apple blossoms, white pepper and candied lemon peel, this dry, medium-bodied, mouth-filling PB is a mouthful of really ripe pear, honeydew melon, yellow apple, Mirabelle plum, white pepper and intense Meyer lemon zest flavours vibrant on the palate with a lingering white pepper and minerally finish. Elegant and beautifully crafted!

The winery suggests serving it chilled with fresh Qualicum Beach scallops or a spot prawn citrus ceviche and I think that would be absolutely spot on yummy :) Tasted March 2022.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2021 growing season in the south Okanagan was exceptionally hot and dry. The result was concentrated aromas and flavours due to the smaller grapes.
The “old vine” comes from the fruit harvested from vines planted in 1968 and 1997.
Aromas of tropical fruit; pineapple, ripe melon, peach with a mineral backbone. Crisp acidity with low residual sugar (1.42 g/l) and flavours of Meyer lemon, pear and ripe apple.
I paired it with a charcuterie platter with a variety of cheese and the company of good friends! Tasted March 31/2022
