Full-bodied and smooth with mocha richness and brooding black plums slipping in underneath. Dark spice and smoke on a long finish. Terrific structure and balance. Demands hearty meat dishes and your full commitment.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Beautiful pure blackberry, black cherry, warm spice, earth, and a hint of wormwood. Exceptional length, balance, and concentration. Nero d'Avola is on the rise in Sicilia. I'm 91 on this. Drink now through 2018. (ottawawinejournal.com)
The blend here is 40% Nero d’Avola, 30% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of Nero d’Avola, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2008 vintage of Noà shows excellent concentration and intensity with lingering tones of ripe blackberry, cinnamon, wet earth and graham cracker. It’s a bold red wine, but the distinctive Nero d’Avola personality comes through nicely, linking the wine to its territory. Score: 92. Source: Monica Larner, Wine Enthusiast, April 2012
