From the Maipo Valley, Viña Tarapacá Gran Reserva 2020 Carmenère is a fragrant, big, bold and full-bodied red wine with layers of ripe dark fruit, anise, black pepper and grilled herb flavours on the palate. Pour with steaks from the grill.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Great value here. Bold and robust Carmenere with tons of flavour. Aromas of blackberry, plum, and black pepper with an herbaceous note. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, with a lovely balance of those rich, rounded fruits with an herbal undertone and a slightly peppery note. Enjoy witih grilled pork.
Maipo Valley, Viña Tarapacá Gran Reserva 2020 Carmenère is a full-bodied, smooth red wine with layers of ripe dark fruit, anise, chocolate, black pepper and grilled herb flavours on the palate. Decant for a couple of hours prior to pairing it with well-marbled steaks from the grill, or cellar until 2024 when the wine will begin to show its best. Drink or hold. - Community Wine Reviews
