Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:
This grand reserva shows garnet and is declared at 14% ABV. Aromatics of dried fig, plum, red fruit. Medium tannins, medium acidity, medium body. Well integrated and pairs well with Spanish Paella. Tasted Dec 2015.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:
Nov 21, 2013: Blind tasting NCSG Vintages pre-release. Deep ruby/garnet. Nose is very muted, with some earthy, mushroom notes, but fruit seems elusive. Palate is dull, with some dried plummy notes, soft tannin and medium acidity on a thin body. Although there is no obvious notable flaw on the nose/palate of tca/cork taint, I suspect that this may be an off bottle, especially when it was revealed what the wine was. A disappointment for sure - will update review if able to taste from another bottle.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier reviewed this wine as follows:
Tasted blind, November 21, 2013. Suspect the bottle was flawed, possible cork taint, as the nose/palate were mute. Plan to taste another bottle and (fingers crossed) have a much different experience.
