Rich and full-bodied with fleshy ripe blackberry, mint and black olive aromas on the nose. Layers and smooth, with polished tannins and a long finish. Terrific mouth-watering juiciness. I would love this red with grilled pork chops and soft music.

Shiraz food pairings: pizza, pasta in meat sauce, steak, lamb cutlets, beef brisket, peppercorn steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Lots of dark red fruit, earthiness and cedar. Long lasting finish and rich on the palate. Wonderfully paired with steak or hearty meat sauce over gluten free pasta! Yum!
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This little book pleasantly surprised me with how big of a Shiraz it is and with it's complexity. It is a deep purple colour with lots of dark fruit (blackberry, raspberry), smoke and spice. I enjoyed this with a rich beef stew on a cool fall evening. A perfect pairing! For a sub-twenty dollar wine this is a pretty terrific value.
King rated this wine as 88/100
What is it they say...big things come in small packages? Well, this "Little Book" holds a small library of aromas that just begins with intense blackberry jelly, herbs, smoked meat and peppercorn. Deep and richly flavoured, this is a powerful Shiraz that is simply brimming with energy and oomph. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Aug. 2013
