Vintages Wine Panel: A slow-roasted beef dish with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled parsnips or carrots would complement this wine. My note: Love the dark-fruit, beguiling nose… then pow! Mouth-watering acidity demands a hearty meat meal. It’s a wonderful combination… but this isn’t a wine to drink as an aperitif. Rich, fleshy black fruit and some mocha. Absolute yum!

Food pairings: roast beef.

Deep crimson red to rim. Juicy lifted red cherry and mulberry primary aromas, smokey oak, vanilla and cedar. Sumptuously packed and concentrated in the mouth, fabulous weight of fruit, very fleshy and generous, great potential, but a bit forceful and ungainly now. Score: Silver (Best in Class) Source: International Wine & Spirit Competition
