Lots of toasty oak and Band-Aid on the nose (good thing) on this robust Spanish red wine. Loaded with black berries and wild tart woodland fruit with savoury cedar brush and garrigue and mystery. Meaty, and chompy. Drink with a fork. Great price. Steak please.

Tempranillo food pairings: prime rib roast, hearty winter stew, meat lovers pizza , spicy sausage.

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dried red and blackberry fruit with dried herb, hung game, cedar and tobacco. 90 points (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Lots of toasty oak and Band-Aid on the nose (good thing) on this robust Spanish red wine. This rich and deep-red crianza (2012) from the famed wine region of Rioja is a made up of 100% Tempranillo wine grape with ripe black berries, tart woodland fruit with savoury cedar brush and garrigue. Meaty, and chompy, this wine was aged in American and French oak for 15 months. Drink with a fork. Great price. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
