Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This wine is an excellent value, and in addition donates a portion of proceeds to the Canadian Olympic Foundation to support athletes. Aromas of black fruit, with hints of mocha and warm earthy hints. Full bodied, with some young, tight tannins that will open up with a bit of aeration, and bright, balancing acidity. Fruit on the palate is bright and rich, with an earthy, dried herb note. Enjoy with roast beef or mushroom dishes.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This cabernet merlot blend has a pretty bouquet evocative of red cherries and currants dusted with a smoky coco power. Medium bodied, the palate is well balanced with soft tannins enhancing its red fruit character. This 2017 offering from this Sustainable Winemaking Ontario certified winery draws to a close with a long finish. Enjoy.

This classic take on a Cabernet Merlot blend pours a medium ruby, hinting at the red fruit focused nature of this wine. There’s sour cherry, cranberry, red plum, and red currant on the nose with layers of toast, black pepper, smoke, blackberry leaf and earth along with an herbal quality which adds complexity. The palate has similar flavours to the nose with a creamy texture and very smooth tannins, making for a red wine which is perfectly suited for early enjoyment.

With every bottle, a $1 donation will be directly contributed to the Canadian Olympic Foundation and its efforts to support Canadian athletes.
