Black cherry spiced pie with dried herbs and cedar brush. Delightfully different and full-bodied. Smooth with lots of savoury, mouth-watering notes. Pair with pork roast.
Cabernet Franc food pairings: pulled pork slathered with mild salsa.

|Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:|
A great wine from a powerful Niagara vintage. Pillitteri has made a name for itself with this varietal. This wine features dark berries, tobacco, black pepper, forest floor, and a hint of dried currant. 90 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)

I preface by saying Cabernet Franc is not my favourite varietal. However, I found this medium bodied red a nice mix of pepper, sour cherry, oak, herbs and earth. Quite a bit going on. Not overly tannic. Roasted meats. Drink now.
|Introducing itself with delicate aromas of red berry fruit and kitchen spice, it washes over the palate with mixed red berry fruit, sour cherry and sprigs of savory herbs and spice. It’s medium bodied and finishes up framed by good moderating acidity and perceptible tannin. Aerate/ decant for two hours. Score: 3½ (out of 5) Source: Vic Harradine, winecurrent.com, Aug. 30, 2012|
