Enticing aromas of cool mint and fleshy black plum on the nose and palate of this classic Australian red wine. Full-bodied, smooth. This is a flagship wine for Australia, from a master producer. Great complexity, balance, structure and depth. It will do well in the cellar, but I challenge you to wait as it's terrific now! Decant 1-2 hours. Try it tonight with rare filet mignon. Highly recommended.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Opaque dark garnet colour with fragrant dark berries on nose. Lots of berry fruit on palate, with light touch of mint, dark chocolate and bell pepper for a superb expression of Cab Sauv. Silky with soft tannins. A bottle of this will make the Cab lover on your gift list very happy.

Penfolds' Bin 407 (2013) has pedigree. The Cabernet Sauvignon red wine grapes for Bin 407 came from McLaren Vale, Padthaway, Coonawarra, Wrattonbully and the Barossa Valley wine regions. The wine is layered, lively and elegant. Enjoy now with a Kangaroo strip loin or cellar for five. - Community Wine Reviews
