A spicy, full-boded Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County with 12% Petite Sirah added. The majority of the Zin for this wine comes from vines cloned in the 1980s from "mother vines" planted in 1904 with some of the grapes for this vintage taken from these original vines. Ripe red berry, dark plum, vanilla, cedar spice and minty herb flavours on the palate.

Zinfandel food pairings: gourmet burgers, sticky BBQ ribs, Hawaiian pizza.

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pedroncelli has crafted an classic Zinfandel here. Ample black fruit under hits of meat, sausage and smoke. Nice balance, fruity with grippy tannins and a long finish. This is a big wine to enjoy with spicy ribs, steaks or spicy pasta. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
