Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby red in colour, this Aglianico boasts potent ripe dark fruit, a touch of spice, and a whiff of smoke. An intense variety, there is a healthy medium body, massive and firm tannins, and bracing acidity. The palate shows ripe and jammy blackcurrant and blackberry. A pleasant red wine that shows a little anise spice in the fruity finish. Serve with roasted meats, game dishes, strong cheeses, or pasta and red sauce dishes with meat, such as lasagna or meatballs.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

From the Southern region of Italy in Campania, this dark Italian red is made solely from the Aglianico varietal. The flavour profile consists of dark-skinned plum, dark cherry, smoked meat and leather. Full-bodied with firm tannins. This wine is perfect for those who enjoy a savoury wine with bold character. Tasted June 2019.
Nativ Rue Dell'Inchiostro 201 is a mouth-watering Aglianico from the Campania wine region. Medium-plus-bodied and intense with ripe dark fruit, smoke and flinty mineral flavours on the palate. Tanninsa re firm. Pair with grilled pork chops. - Community Wine Reviews
