Beautifully rich and buttery, yet balanced with a nervy energy. Aromas of freshly baked bread, toasted almond and golden apple. So very gorgeous. Perfect for roast chicken or lobster in butter.

Reviews and Ratings

Carola Price rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Clear and bright. Nose is vanilla and some tropical fruit with a hint of goat cheese. Medium long finish with lots of vanilla and spice, peach, and citrus at the end. Balanced and well made this Chardonnay is an excellent cellar wine to judge further development. Pair with roast and grilled white meats, meaty fish and Mexican dishes with lots of Pico de Gallo.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of citrus, pear, and toasty aromas with some petrol. Flavours of grapefruit, apple and flint. Bright acidity, yet a silky mouthfeel from this robust Riesling from Niagara wine region.
Jessica Nagy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A new release from the Speck family's top-tier vines, the 2013 Reserve Chardonnay is a lovely golden wine. A full-bodied nose and palate brings together the buttery, vanilla aromas of oak aging and limestone minerality with the peachy, citrus and tropical hints of classic new-world Chardonnay. I recommend serving this white a little on the warmer side in order to bring out more of the subtle smells and flavours. Excellent on its own or served with tomato puff-pastry tart. Drink now or lay down for a couple years to let the fruitiness tone down just a bit.
