A juicy Argentine red wine with aromas of dark red fruit and spice. This powerful red wine features toasty oak. The grapes for this wine come from 40-year-old vines near the Lujan de Cuyo and Las Compuertas regions. Approximately, 40% of the wine is matured in French oak barrels for 1 year. Delightful!

Malbec food pairings: game, lamb, spaghetti and meat balls, veal cutlets, osso buco, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Balanced and elegant Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina showing Damson plum and mocha aromas. Rich, satiny palate shows plum, mocha and subtle licorice.
Enjoy with grilled lamb burgers or pulled pork .

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
