From the Cafayate Valley, Salta El Esteco 2021 Malbec is a juicy, fruit-driven medium-bodied and plushy Malbec with ripe black plums, blackberry, blueberry, cedar brush, earthy and flinty flavours fresh on the palate. Tannins are rich and creamy. Delicious now.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This high altitude Malbec from Argentina’s Cafayate Valley offers exceptional value with its delicious plum, dark berries and sweet spices on the nose and palate, fine integrated tannins, and refreshing characteristics making it a terrific option for enjoying now with stews or grilled beef. Tasted December 2023. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rich aromas of blueberry, raspberry, and plums, with hints of pepper, graphite, and cigar box. Full bodied, rich and rounded with soft tannins, medium+ acidity, and rich black fruit flavours, and a smoky, woody note on the finish. Enjoy with steak or lamb.
