Total smokehouse, toast and oak on the nose and palate. Holy oak barrels! The 2011 vintage of Dark Lady of the Labyrinth is a great Pinotage, with none of the rubber aromas that sometimes come with this grape. Black fruit and more smoke on the finish.

From the winery Doolhof, the 2011 Dark Lady of the Labyrinth is named for Ariadne, the daughter of King Minos of Crete who fell in love with Theseus, the Athenian hero of ancient Greece who slayed the monster Minotaur. Obviously the love couple was buried in solid oak. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
