Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Priya: This just isn't my kind of wine. I like a bit more fruit and a bit less sparseness. It's quite dry, not too tannic though, so that's a plus. Overall though, this is one Alex will appreciate more than I do. 84pts

Alex: You betcha my lady, this is my stuff. This has such a unique nose, like a garden salad! Sweet red pepper, celery stalk, cilantro, amidst a blackberry bush. Lean and elegant palate, spicy pepper notes, great harmony and minerality. Firm, elegant tannins and a savoury, chalky finish. Absolutely delectable with roast chicken. A must try for adventurers and lovers of old-world wine. 92pts
Neil Phillips rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Medium intensity with nose of raspberry, ripe red cherry, sage, tomato leaf and a dash of white pepper.

On the palate, dry with medium+ acid, featuring crabapple, allspice, cherry and raspberry. A medium+ savoury finish.

A nice medium-bodied savoury cool-climate Cabernet Franc, from the region that specialises. Quite versatile, and an excellent choice when you don't want a fruit or alcohol bomb.

Tasted October 2016.
This robust French wine made from Cabernet Franc grapes won a Gold Medal at the 2015 Concours des Vin du Val de Loire. Dark fruit notes. - Community Wine Review
