Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Punching above its weight for a Cru Bourgeois, this is 60% Merlot, 30% Cab, 5% Cab Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. A modern style with liberal but judicious use of oak, it has savoury tones of beef stock, worcestershire sauce and lead pencil shavings. A violet floral tone lingers along with star anise. Try with slow cooked beef rib with creamy polenta @wrightwineblog
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A dark ruby Cru Bourgeios, aromas of thick plum and cherry. Full-bodied with tannins that still lead over the fruit components. Age for several years or decant for several hours. A big wine that would go well with red meat, hard cheeses or poultry.
From Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux wine region, Château Tour Des Termes Cru Bourgeois 2016 is a 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% each Cabernet Franc- and Petit Verdot red wine blend. Nose is developing with ripe dark fruits, anise and oak spice aromas. A very elegant Bordeaux blend with ripe dark cherry, plum, savoury herbs, baking spice and smoky vanilla flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm. Decant for two hours prior to pouring it with a roast prime rib or cellar for two more years. "Château Tour Des Termes" is named after a Gallo Roman era tower on the estate. "Terms" meaning "the end of the land." - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
