Mariflor Malbec 2015

Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina

Jenny scored this wine: 92/100

A big bold Malbec but not overly showy from wine celebrity Michel Rolland. A lovely inky note on the nose, with some perfumed aromatics and a subtlety together with a boldness at the same time. Elegant with a long finish. I suggest decanting this wine before drinking. Try with chorizo, cumin and tomato paella. @wrightwineblog

Anduco Limited Edition

Andeluna Anduco Limited Edition Malbec 2017

Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina

Jenny scored this wine: 90/100

Beautiful aromatic nose so classic in good Malbec, it has sweet spices and violets. The tannins are firm so do give the wine a little air before drinking to really let this beauty sing. Try with Taleggio and pancetta baked pasta. @wrightwineblog

A great value Chardonnay from Argentina that shows the perfect amount of toasty oak from both French and American barrels. A delightful grilled pineapple note with fresh mango and freshly squeezed oranges. Try with roasted chicken salad and freshly made crushed herb aioli. @wrightwineblog

Beautifully perfumed with violets and hints of pencil shavings, this wine is consistently good. Lovely black cherries and a savoury finish that is elegant and refined. Try with Goulash with gnocchi and sour cream @wrightwineblog

Picone Vineyard

Fogolar Picone Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2015

Vinemount Ridge, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada

Jenny scored this wine: 91/100

The slight bit of age on this was really attractive and added depth to an already complex wine, layered with cherry fruit and tea leaves and the classic Cab Franc note of tomato juice. Elegant. Savoury. Try with beef, mushroom and snap pea stir fry with hoisin sauce. @wrightwineblog
