Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Located in the Listrac area, on the left bank of the Gironde river, Chateau l’Ermitage offers a fresh and honest Bordeaux wine. Blended with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdo. The 2014 vintage reveals aromas of plum, lavender, mild vegetal note, pepper, tobacco and oak. Great balance with a medium body, this left bank wine pleases with tastes of tart plum, a touch of lavender, black tea, pepper, dark chocolate and oak. Pairs nicely with red meat on a BBQ. Enjoy!
Château L'ermitage (2014) is Cru Bourgeois from the Listrac-Médoc in the Bordeaux wine region made from mostly Merlot with a smattering of other grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The estate is overseen by the brother-and-sister team of Mathieu and Audrey Thomas. Pair with beef tenderloin. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
