Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2006 Bertani Villa Arvedi Amarone Della Valpolicella is a medium bodied, integrated wine, with intense aromas of red berries - red currant, cherry, pomegranate; caramel and oak. Though alcoholic at 15%, it has a good structure with grippy tannins (decant for 1 hour) and a long and clean finish. Ready to drink now or can be cellared (though not meant to) for another 5+ years. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts - this is a sipping wine, not food friendly. Tasted March/12.
Bertani is one of the most renowned producers in all of Veneto, and they pride themselves on crafting quality Amarone. This astoundingly well-priced 2006 vintage is pure and finessed, with a creamy texture, and notions of wild berries, floral and baking spices on the palate. Amarone Villa Arvedi ’06 is charming and dependable. Score: 2 Glasses (out of 3) Source: Gambero Rosso Italian Wines

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
