Had the pleasure of Wine Tasting at the Quails Gate Winery In Kelowna, BC with the very excellent Brian (the Sommelier) as our host. We loved this crisp, white fruity Gewürztraminer. Naturally we couldn't leave the winery without a few bottles of this delicious BC wine. I am going to pair this with my BBQ turkey burgers or my clear fish soup on a day when I am not in the mood for a complicated meal. Heaven in a Bottle...once you taste this 'port like' dessert wine you will be spoiled for life. My choice for pairing would be chocolate, chocolate, chocolate....perhaps a chocolate soufflé (Brian our host at the Quails' Gate Tasting Room suggested this) or maybe a decadent chocolate lava cake! This light red wine is perfect for a dinner with friends and a perfectly BBQ'd tenderloin steak. We are visiting our good friends Devon and Gary in Kelowna (Wine Country) and this wine was Gary's choice...fabulous....but be warned...one bottle is not enough!
