A terrific southern French red wine: this is the 2013 vintage of the Côtes du Roussillon Villages which is a robust blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 15% equal parts of Mourvèdre and Carignan. The wine is vinified in concrete tanks then aged in large oak barrels, of which a small portion is new oak. Lots of generous aromas of dark fruit and smoke. Pair with grilled meats.

Lots of inviting dark fruit on the nose with violet and earth and mint, carrying through to the palate - a blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 15% each of Carnignan and Mourvedre....well integrated tannins, well done. Highly recommend.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Intriguing stemmy fruit, cassis and a fresh, eucalyptus notes on the nose. Very fresh and moderately firm; medium in body, marginally ripe black fruit flavours and ripe tannins.
The 2013 Côtes du Roussillon Villages is a blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 15% each of Mourvèdre and some Carignan. Lots of plum, fresh berry fruit, strawberries, garrigues herbs and lavender on this medium-bodied wine. Easy to drink and enjoy. - Community Wine Reviews
