Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Intriguing stemmy fruit, cassis and a fresh, eucalyptus notes on the nose. Very fresh and moderately firm; medium in body, marginally ripe black fruit flavours and ripe tannins.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lots of inviting dark fruit on the nose with violet and earth and mint, carrying through to the palate - a blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 15% each of Carnignan and Mourvedre....well integrated tannins, well done. Highly recommend.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Loads of black cherry, purple plum skin, black raspberry, crushed violet, graphite, iron, smoked meat, garrigue and sanguine notes in this Roussillon blend. Stunning stuff. 92 Points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)

Natalie's Review

Vallée Des Aigles 2013, Côtes De Roussillon-Villages, Midi A.P., France: A terrific southern French red wine: this is the 2013 vintage of the Côtes du Roussillon Villages which is a robust blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 15% equal parts of Mourvèdre and Carignan. The wine is vinified in concrete tanks then aged in large oak barrels, of which a small portion is new oak. Lots of generous aromas of dark fruit and smoke. Pair with grilled meats. Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
