Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The Icon is so deep dark red in the glass, you could lose yourself in this wine. A gorgeous Bordeaux-style red wine blend, it's a silky smooth mouthful of chocolate covered dark cherries; dry, full-bodied and intense with dark cherry, plum compote, mocha, smoky vanilla, dark spices finishing lush and long. Nicely balanced with fresh acidity and tannins are fine-grained and velvety. So good now, but could easily hold for three-to-five years. Tasted November 2021.
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A classic from Niagara. A blend of Cab Franc, Cab Sav, Merlot and Malbec with 12 months in French and American oak. It's a polished wine offering plum, blackcurrant, cocoa and all the good things a Bordeaux style blend should. Drink local! Ontario is delivering great wines at great prices. Try it with a lamb shank pasta with fresh basil pesto.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Awesome blend that is consistently great every year. This year's blend is Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, aromas of cherry, blackberry, and plum with mocha and warm spice. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, with nice acidity, lots of ripe berry, and a hint of leather and spice on the finish. Enjoy with grilled beef kebabs.
Bernard rated this wine as 85/100
