Sour cherry and cranberry on the nose and palate of this smooth, medium-bodied Niagara red wine made from the heartbreak grape, Pinot Noir. Lots of racy acidity for seafood and roast chicken or turkey.

Pinot Noir food pairings: savoury steaks and roast beef, slow cooked beef or pork, wild game with rich berry sauces.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Visible legs in the glass, red fruit, earthiness and glorious herbaceous undertones - smooth on the palate - a most enjoyable wine to pair with grilled cedar plank salmon.
From the Niagara Peninsula wine region Leaning Post (2013) Pinot Noir is kirsch, black cherry, raspberry and ripe beets on the nose, ripe red fruit, mushroom and smoked meat finishing long on the palate. Tannins are soft and the wine is balanced with good acidity. This Ontario Pinot Noir blends grapes from three vineyards: Wismer, Queenston and Lowrey. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
