Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Highly aromatic with layers of dark fruit, eucalyptus, molasses, cocoa, earth, cedar and savoury black olive. A powerful wine with great aging potential; could cellar up to another 10 years. Impressive gift wine for your Cab-loving friends.

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Super aromatic with more pronounced notes of decayed mushroom and forest floor to go along with the perfectly delineated berry and floral aromas and flavours. There is some spice present and the herbs are much more dried in character. This is a stunning effort. 93 Points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Always an amazing opportunity to try an older vintage side by side with its more recent counterpart. This 2004 was tasted next to a youthful 2013 and the 2004 showed a lovely maturity. There are some luscious dried raisin notes, almost like a Amarone, but mingled with cigar box, vanilla, mushroom and cedar. The rich colour on the wine is still present, but the tannins have softened. Still a lot of life in this wine! Enjoy with braised beef short ribs.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Dark fruit, chocolate and smoke on the nose with blackberry, mocha and stewed plum on the palate. A powerful cabernet that drinks well now but can also be further cellared.
