Concentrated and powerful with polished tannins. A lively Malbec with intriguing aromas of black raspberry, bacon and vanilla smoke. Ready to drink now, but will also do well with a few years in the cellar. Absolutely delicious especially at this price! Pair this wine with a variety of savoury meat dishes. Let your mouth have some fun tonight!

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Medium purple coloured, bright and vibrant with an ever evolving bouquet. Plum, cherry, blackberry toast and smoked vegetable notes and rosemary on the nose. This really evolves in the palate reflecting elements of ripe blackberry, blueberry, cherry and a hint of smoked meat with a balsamic note on the end of the medium finish. Dry with medium round tannins and body make this an enjoyable, decadent and delicious Malbec perfect for grilled meats and summer barbecues all the same. Enjoy now, or cellar 2-5 yrs.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This 100% Malbec was made from grapes grown in Argentina's Uco Valley at 1050 m above sea level in the Mendoza Valley, which has a desert climate. Aromas of ripe red fruit lead into a flavourful palate with cherries, red plums, mocha, mint and balsamic notes. Velvety tannins and delicious long finish. Excellent pairing for either lamb or beef dishes.

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A great Malbec from the well respected Trapiche winery - well balanced and showing robust flavors of raspberry, blackberry, smoke and decadent chocolate. Perfect with stuffed burgers on the BBQ!
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby in colour, this wine gives out lots of warmth. The typical Malbec aromas of plums and cherries are present in the aroma and in the bowl but they feel riper and warmer than other Trapiche Malbecs. The intense fruity taste is also accompanied by high alcohol, medium minerality, and lovely notes of spicy herbs. The tannins are velvety and the finish is long and fruity. Score 88. (S.Segard, reviewed Sept 15, 2017)
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Sept. 29th, 2017. Colour medium purple, good thick legs. Aromas and Flavours of, intense black cherry, black raspberry, plum cocoa and balsamic. Taste dry fruity, medium plus body, soft tannin and just the right amount of acid to make a nice mouthwatering finish. I like this wine. Good value easy to drink and matched nicely with Brookside chocolate covered blueberries.
Trapiche Finca Las Palmas Gran Reserva (2014) is an intense Malbec with ripe black raspberry, blueberry and smoky vanilla flavours. This powerful red wine from the Uco Valley is so rich. Have with rich game dishes or a grilled rare steak. - Community Wine Reviews
