This attractive, full-bodied Spanish red wine is made from the Garnacha grape which is known as Grenache in France. It's the second-most popular red grape planted in Spain, after Tempranillo. Lots of luscious layers of dark fruit, smoke and anise here. Pair with true love and rare steak.

Garnacha food pairings: roast beef, grilled leg of lamb, barbecued portobello mushrooms.

Reviews and Ratings

Courtney Flood rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Maybe I had too much wine at the time... but I tasted this wine amongst many, and not knowing the price of this wine, it was one of my favourites. Now that I know the price I am even more impressed!

Pure fruit bomb! Juicy cherry and raspberry, opening to hints of milk chocolate. Sandalwood and clove. Lovely.

I would pair this with a smoky wood-fired pizza
Carola Price rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Not a whole lot on the nose, which I find very typical of good Spanish wine, but in the mouth the attack is instantaneous. Big cherry and plum with dark chocolate and baking spice to the very end. A wine that sticks to the teeth but is a bit short in the mid palate.
Pair this with Southern BBQ so that peppery and oaked flavour shines through.

Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Softer nose, but delivers on full value with a smooth candied berries palate. Not complex but truly food-diverse.
Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Closed nose. Chocolate and dark fruit combine for a full flavoured Grenacha.
The finish is pleasant event though a little short.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Mediu, translucent garnet colour. Fresh mixed black berry aromas. Bright, lively fruit on the palate, very smooth. The alcohol is a touch warming on the finish.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Shy on aroma, this Garnacha is more enjoyable on the palate. Aromas of cherry, spice and fresh oregano with a pleasant acidity on the palate with more concentrated cherry and red fruit flavours. Tasted April 3, 2016.
Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Alex: Juicy berry bowl garnacha fruit with just a tinge vanilla and dried rosemary behind it. Simple and fruit-driven, but savoury and succulent as well. A nice bowl of fruit in a glass, at an everyday price. 85pts
