Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Sterling is a pretty recognizable name for their Napa Valley wines. This particular selection was sourced from the Central Coast instead.
Bright ruby red - with a dark center.
The aromas have a lot of typical Merlot plumpness - plum, cherry, cassis, and raspberry disted with some cocoa powder.
It oozes red and black fruit and there is some suggestion of sage and bay leaf. Approachable now, but you could keep it a few years.
Pair it with elk sliders.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of cherry, blackberry and vanilla. Well balanced on the palate with lovely spice, vanilla, and dried currants. Nice BBQ wine.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Sterling Vineyards Vintner’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 is a nice good value wine under $15. Aromas and flavours of blackberry, plum, cherry, and vanilla. Tasted October 2016 (89/100)
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of inky black plum, smoked meat, and mocha lead off this opaque purple wine. The taste is silky black and red plum with medium fine tannins. There's a nice long balanced black plum finish. Perfect for savoury dishes like beef or turkey stew,
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Bright deep ruby red. Aromas of cherry, plums, and some green astringent herbs. Extra dry with young tannins. Medium finish of juicy plums. Biting acidity. Score 86. (S.Segard, reviewed Jan. 16, 2017.)
